Finishing strong💪 Stepping into my new role at Diageo just over a month ago, I knew that it would require me to push myself and achieve more than ever before.As I completed the handover process and prepared to take on the new responsibilities, a few questions lingered in my mind: did I leave my previous role when my trumpet sound was loudest? Did I finish strong? Was I disrupted, or did I disrupt?Well, reflecting on my time in that role, I can confidently say that I gave it my all. My team and I worked tirelessly, and our efforts yielded impressive results in the closing stages of the financial year at Diageo. We achieved our highest-ever market share of 97.1% in the beer category, and a strong market share of 72.1% in spirits. Despite the challenging operating environment, we achieved a +1.5% increase in net sales value compared to the previous year. What's more? Employee productivity was at an all time high, translating to an engagement score of 98%.You may ask, what's the secret sauce ? It's simple: teamwork. Teamwork makes the dream work. We believed in the power of collaboration, and together, we accomplished incredible things. As I embark on this new chapter, I know that by embracing the strength of teamwork, and the eagerness to remain teachable; staying hungry and staying vulnerable, I am convinced that success and greatness are assured.#onwardsandupwards#newbeginings

Diageo! Despite the pandemic challenges, they've reported a 16.9% YoY increase in net sales and an impressive 62.7% YoY rise in operating profit. Major growth has been seen in North America and the Asia Pacific regions. Big applause for consistently investing around 15% of their net sales in marketing, tailored to local markets. They're returning a generous £2.5bn to shareholders and are increasing their sustainability initiatives. Recently I was asked to think back across the 11 years that soon passed by since I joined Danish Crown and think of some of the things that made me proud or something that stood out from this journey 🤔 Obviously a lot has happened, both privately and work-related 😉 I have been fortunate to work in many parts of the business; The previous Pork BU with export sales development, Strategy in Pork Production, Commercial Excellence in Group, Integration management Office in Group and now I’m working in Categories, Marketing and Innovation 🤗✅But actually a lot of things have been the same for me regardsless of the role and probably that characterize me more than the position. One thing is, that I have always put an honor in working across the entire business whatever it has been a part of the job description or not ✍🏻 Working across the entire business might for some seem like a simple thing – but it is not – regardless if all wants to do it, it is not simple. Therefore I was also happy when I was asked to do a presentation for our Top 50 group around a project we did in my team on commercialising sustainability. I believe that there is so much knowledge and experience to be shared from this particular project. Afterwards I cought myself thinking that I hope I have left my mark on how a project from the part of the business where I’m currently working can help all of us a bit in difficult times! 🍀#betterfoodbrighterfuture #knowledgesharing #commercialisingsustainability
