I haven't read any of the legislation yet, but I'm quite sure it will have ripple effects into most of what we do in the #datascience world.Another predictable, yet unexpected, side-effect of #LLMs. It's hard to imagine this kind of consensus happening if GPT hadn't galvanized imaginations the way it did.

Always a bit shocking, but this kind of thing has been going on for a long time.On school trips to Valley Forge with my kids, I heard the story of Friedrich von Steuben, the faker that George Washington appointed as his Inspector General. Even as he was being onboarded, it became clear Steuben's impressive resume was largely fabricated.Since the Ridley Scott movie came out, I see historians weighing in to say #Napoleon faked his KPIs too.It's a whole lot easier to check people's credentials now. Unfortunately, just as in ordinary consumer #fraud, wishful thinking and desperation can lead to blindness.

An illustration that even smaller organizations need to address #cybersecurity and other threats creatively.Interconnectivity means even peripheral players can open the rest of the system to outsize vulnerability.This is just as true in #healthcare and other verticals as #finance.
