Recently saw a job posting for a Forklift Operator job through a known staffing agency. It listed:"Compensation and Environment:$19.00 per hourAround $90,000 per year60+ hour weeks availableLarge Growing Company!Benefits and Weekly Pay!"Math isn't my strong suit.. But I'm definitely not working 91 hours a week to hit 90k a year at $19 an hour. 90k a year comes out to $43 an hour (+/- a few bucks depending on OT and days off) in a 40 hour work week. About $29 an hour at 60 hours a week. What am I missing here? Is the staffing company just offering $19 an hour and pocketing the other $24 an hour?Is it false advertising? Will this staffing agency negotiate on the hourly to produce a quality employee for their client?Am I really, really bad at math or just completely missing something?#EmploymentSearchFrustration #StaffingAgency #Recruiters #RecruiterAgency

Operating a forklift requires a cross-section of mental and physical chops as well as patience, the ability to think on your feet, and excellent interpersonal skills. You can imagine how difficult it is to hire a person who possesses all those capabilities. If you can’t hire an experienced forklift driver, you’ll have to ‘grow your own’. Here are some tips on what to look for when hiring a new forklift operator. And when you need training, turn to Apex.

Search job adverts for lift truck operator vacancies and you'll likely come across phrases such as, "forklift licence required" or "needs FLT licence". However, in the UK, the forklift 'licence' is a myth - there is actually no such thing. So, with this in mind, what is the best way for an employer to confirm an operator's skill level? 🤔We explain all, here: https://okt.to/mHaIiL

Why post a picture of a squirrel driving a Forklift?...Because some staffing agencies are nuts thinking that they can send just anyone to operate lift equipment. (See what I did there? lol)In all seriousness though, trusting an agency to review a resume and ask a few questions isn't enough. This is why every operator that comes through our doors at Employbridge has to complete 5 assessments, including a one hour class with our validator AND complete a final assessment before we would even consider placing them at a client site. Forklift safety is incredibly important and we take it very seriously, that is why we go through multiple steps to ensure that we send the most qualified candidates.#Staffing #ProLogistix #Employbridge #Forklift #safety
